In the current transfer window two English stars commanded fees surging past 100 Million pounds, but at what point does this become too much money.

Looking back at most recent transfers that commanded huge fees, we see Alexander Isak, Wirtz, Enzo Fernandez, Jack Grealish, and Declan Rice. We see alot of players with inconsistent play. Some players on this list are yet to hit the true heights of their playing career, but realistically almost all of them struggle to fully justify the price tag.

Are these price tags a new way of life? Or will they eventually go on to cripple top clubs consistently year over year…. We will only find out with time.
